Each year, hundreds come to Pacificon to participate in the
biggest board game championships on the West Coast. The
West Coast Boardgame Championships is in its fifth year,
and currently features championships in 33 board games.
Commemorative plaques are handed out to the winners of
each of the tournaments.
The games that qualify for championship status are chosen
by an advisory committee consisting of Richard Irving, Kevin
Ellingson, Mark Ruggiero, John Wootress, and Pacificon
Board Game Ambassador Jodi Soares.
